Anyone can nominate a registered athlete, whether you’re a parent, family, friend, or a centre representative.
How do I nominate an athlete?
Coles Little Athlete of the Year will take place across two dedicated months in August for Winter Season athletes and February for summer season athletes.
Nominators will be required to post a photo of their nominee participating at a Little Athletics centre on Facebook and in 50 words or less tell us why the Little Athlete deserves to be the Coles Little Athlete of the Year using #COLESLAOTY and tagging your relevant State or Territory Little Athletics association in the post.
The nominee must demonstrate some of the below traits; Sportsmanship, Leadership, Commitment and Health.
Why should I nominate an athlete?
The Coles Little Athlete the Year program is a great way to recognise an athlete, of any age, for their sporting values rather than necessarily athletic achievements.
There will also be some great Coles prizes up for grabs for selected athletes!
More details about prizes and nomination process will be announced via Little Athletics Australia website and social media channels during the season.
